                               Luv ur Hair

"Invest in your hair, it's the crown you never take off"
it's one of the most popular quotes out there. Do you think it's false, well I don't think so. There are millions of people out there, everyone are different and unique in their own way and that's what makes us beautiful. All of us do lots of work every day and will be busy with our own schedules but at some point in the day, no matter how busy we are, we will definitely look after our hair and nurture our hair irrespective of our gender.

But how do we do it?
                            What steps do we follow?
                            Do's and Dont's?
                            Best hair care routines?
About shampoo's and conditioners etc..? so there are many questions out there and there are many answers to these questions as well. and definitely not to mention about hair problems like dandruff, dry hair, split ends, hair fall, etc... and we keep wondering about solutions for these problems. Although we can't talk about all these things in one blog, I will start here and try to cover these topics one by one in my upcoming blogs.

How to maintain healthy hair :

We all have lots of problems related to hair like hair fall, splits, dry hair etc... and many people will try different methods like going to the doctor, using more hair care products, and trying to change their shampoo and conditioners etc...
                        But wait!!
Is there any healthy way? Of course yes, there is nothing healthy other than products of nature. So we have to try maximum products from nature like oils, food, fruit masks etc...and also some tips to follow. here are some of the steps to maintain healthy hair.

1. Use oils

Hair is definitely maintained with many different things. But oils are very important to maintain healthy hair. Shampoo, conditioners, masks etc... can be useful to make hair soft, smooth, shiny etc... but oils have vitamins, natural minerals, and essential fatty acids which lock our hair with enough amount of things that are needed for healthy hair. Also, oils help to protect hair from sun damage, dry scalp, dry hair, dandruff, split ends, hair fall and many more. Here are some recommendations:
1. Mighty coconut oil - helps to moisturize and seal hair with moisture, prevent dry, flaky scalp, split ends, dandruff and hair breakage. It makes hair stronger, shinier and longer.
2. Almond oil - it helps in making hair softer, stronger and shinier. It has vitamins that give hair a good look. Also, it gives a great smell and it is not that sticky and is gentle when applied.
3. Sesame oil (Queen of oilseeds) - It has a lot of benefits like promotes hair growth, prevents premature hair graying, protecting from UV rays, soothes heat damaged and dry hair, preventing hair fall due to stress, preventing dandruff, and many more.
4.  Castor oil - Being very thick castor oil is not used by many people. But, we can dilute this with other oils and use that to hair. It promotes hair growth and reduces scalp problems like dry scalp and baldness, works against dandruff, strengthens roots and removes dirt effectively.
5.  Amla oil - It has vitamin c and antioxidants, strengthen hair and condition follicles down the roots. Can promote hair growth, reduce dandruff and prevent graying of hair. It gives thickness to our hair as well.
6. Onion oil - Onion is rich in sulphur which prevents breakage, split ends and thinning of hair, It also maintains the regular pH in hair and prevents premature graying. Hence also prevents and treat baldness and promotes hair growth
7. Olive oil - Olive oil adds shine, body softness and resilience to hair. many shampoos and conditioners also use olive as its essence because of its properties. It gives moisture and adds necessary nutrients to our hair thus makes it strong.

There are many more oils like lavender oil, argan oil, Moringa oil etc...which protect our hair and we can also use mixed oils. mixed oils are nothing but the oils mentioned above can be mixed in required or equal quantities for your hair.

2. Balanced diet

A balanced diet also takes a big part in maintaining healthy hair. so a well-rounded diet is an important factor as well. Especially proteins, because hair is itself made of proteins. So at least 50 grams of protein is necessary to intake daily.
Good protein sources are
                meat, fish
                Eggs
                Milk
                Oats
                Broccoli
                low-fat dairy products
Nuts like almonds etc... and lack of proteins can result in weak, brittle hair and loss of hair color and promotes hair fall as well. Also, omega-3 fatty acids are also important because it helps to stimulate hair follicles and sebaceous glands. It gives good scalp health.
Good omega-3 fatty acid sources are
Fish and other seafood (especially cold-water fatty fish like salmon etc....)
                 Nuts and seeds
                 Plant oils
                 Salads
Yogurt etc... adding more veggies and fruits that are rich in proteins gives hair a good look and improves hair and scalp health.

3. Know your hair

Just like skin type even hair is of different types for individuals. It's important to know hair types to use oils, shampoos, conditioners, masks etc... So there are lots of types like straight, curly, wavy, tight curls and also oily, dry, normal etc... so before you start applying anything know about the effects of products on your hair. Like oily hair needed to be washed alternatively while dry hair needs more moisture etc...
                Know about your hair type
                Know about its texture
Know about products that your hair needs
how often do you need to use them
your routine chart after knowing these things

4. Choose the right shampoo and conditioner

A major mistake is considering that both shampoo and conditioner are for hair. It's definitely not true. The shampoo is for the scalp and the conditioner is for your hair. Using the wrong shampoo and conditioner can cause damage to your hair. So, choose wisely. Products should be used based on the type like oily, dry and normal.
the shampoo is basically used to remove oil, dirt, debris and odors etc... and helps to moisturize hair and hair growth. While conditioners help to improve the texture of your hair. It hydrates and replenishes and locks the moisture in your hair making it smooth and thick.

5. Hair masks

Hair masks are also very important to hair and it is the best way to give hair vitamins and minerals that strengthen our hair from its roots. They give moisture and nourish your hair. They're especially beneficial for dry, damaged, or frizzy hair.  Hair masks also improve the health condition of the scalp and boost hair growth and give strength to your hair. irrespective of what your hair type is hair masks can be used according to them, and we can have hair masks with more natural products in them and gain healthy hair and scalp.

And as I already mentioned there will be lots of questions regarding hair care and health like do's and don't, hair masks, products etc... I will be speaking about these things in my upcoming blogs.
