                                            Hair Masks

Everyone will definitely try their best to protect hair with the best oils, shampoos, conditioners, etc... but wait is it enough?
Of course not, that is why we use hair masks to give hair the best nutrients and vitamins possibly. There are many products related to hair masks on the internet. How do we choose the best ones? Are natural one's available?
Well yes, natural hair masks are available. that means we can directly take natural products and mix them and apply to our hair and scalp for best results.
In this blog let's talk about some homemade DIY masks.

1) Avocado, egg, and olive oil mask:

    Problem: Hair Damage
Sources: By using styling tools, environment, UV rays, hair dye etc...
Mask: "Packed full of omega-3 fatty acids, this hair treatment provides the ultimate strength and shine for your hair," she said. It’s also full of antioxidants that help fight off free radicals, which is especially great for city dwellers. Joel Warren of The Salon Project is also a big fan of an avocado-based mask, as it "helps to rejuvenate and moisturize the scalp."
    Ingredients: Half an avocado,
                            1 egg,
2 tablespoons of olive oil and
                            1 tablespoon of honey.
    Directions:
Mix all the above ingredients in a fine paste and apply to wet hair with your fingertips, starting at the bottom and your way up. Then wrap your hair into abun and cover it with a shower cap. Blow-dry your shower cap-cap-covered hair for 10 mins to activate ingredients. Then let it sit for 20 mins and then wash out in the shower.

2) Cinnamon and coconut oil mask:

    Problem: Hair growth
Sources: By using styling tools, environment, UV rays, hair dye etc...
Mask: The anti-microbial spice is known to stimulate blood circulation and promote hair growth and strength
Ingredients: Equal parts of cinnamon and
                         coconut oil
    Directions:

Blend ingredients together well. Apply the mask onto your roots and part, and massage into your scalp. Let it sit for 30 to 45 minutes and rinse. Aim to do this mask at least once a week.

3)Honey, egg and apple cider vinegar mask

Problem: Dry hair
Sources: By using styling tools, environment, UV rays, hair dye etc...
Mask: If your hair is feeling (and looking) a little parched, try this honey, egg and apple cider vinegar (ACV) mask. It is a great hydrating treatment that provides shine and nourishes without weighing down strands
    Ingredients: 1 teaspoon of honey
                         1 egg
                         1 tablespoon of ACV
    Directions:

Combine in a small bowl. You can double or half the recipe, depending on your hair’s length. Leave it on for 30 to 40 minutes before rinsing. This nourishing treatment works on all hair types.

4) Milk and honey mask:

Problem: Weak hair
Sources: By using styling tools, environment, UV rays, hair dye etc..
Mask: "Honey contains keratin to help strengthen the hair and prevent breakage caused by weak, brittle hair," explains Abramite. "It also encourages cell regeneration for a healthier scalp and has anti-inflammatory properties that can calm irritation." When combined with milk,—which is chock-full of proteins, amino acids, vitamin B12, iron, and zinc—the duo can help soften the hair and support its structure.
 Ingredients: 1 cup of milk
                         1 tablespoon of honey

  Directions:
Put them into a spray bottle and spray it onto the hair. Leave in for 10 to 20 minutes after shampooing (in place of conditioner). Rinse out with warm water for shiny, smooth results.

5) Yogurt and Olive oil

Problem: Frizzy hair
Sources: By using styling tools, environment, UV rays, hair dye etc...
Mask:  "The lactic acid in yogurt hydrates the hair, which will help moisturize damage and prevent frizziness," says Friese. "When the yogurt is rinsed out it also helps to clear away dead skin cells that can build up on the hair follicles." Yogurt can be mixed with many other ingredients depending on the desired result. (With coconut oil to help with hair loss, with honey to help hair retain moisture, with avocado to help strengthen the hair and add shine, or with lemon to help balance the pH of the scalp.)
Ingredients: 1 cup of yogurt
                     1 tablespoon of Olive oil

  Directions:
Mix one cup of yogurt with a tablespoon of olive oil to add more shine and sleekness to the strands. Apply the mixture to the hair for 10 minutes and rinse with warm water.

Following these frequently will give you the best hair with good results. So make sure you follow them and get the best out of it. We will discuss many other masks in my upcoming blogs.
